Thames Valley District School Board announced today that Director of Education Mark Fisher is on a leave of absence.
The Board of Trustees will be meeting later today to appoint an Acting Director of Education who will be in place to provide leadership for the system while the Board conducts a broader search for an Interim Director of Education.

A $9.2 million addition for Eagle Heights Public School is complete and will be open when classes resume on Sept. 4.
This addition accommodates 300 more students and increase the school’s library and administration area. A new bus lane will also be open for September.
Some interior renovations are still underway at Eagle Heights and are expected to be complete for November.

The Thames Valley District School Board can go to tender for the new Belmont elementary school following approval from the Ministry of Education.
The Ministry also announced an additional $9.8 million in funding for the new school to address construction market conditions.
Located at 235 7th Avenue in Belmont, the new $21.9 million elementary school will have space for 507 students.

Thames Valley’s Board of Trustees has approved boundary changes for Delaware Central and Parkview Public Schools, effective September 2025.  
On June 25, trustees accepted and approved the final report of the Middlesex Elementary Panel Attendance Area Review (MEAAR). The review sought to address enrolment pressure at Delaware Central Public School.
